Lindsay Nyhof

Lindsay Nyhof | Kids Camp Director

Lindsay has taught special education for 9 years in Michigan and Minnesota. She also served as volunteer staff at a camp for adults with developmental disabilities for about 7 years. Currently, she is a stay home mom for her 2 boys ages 3 and 1.

Pam Finlayson | Kids Camp Leader

Pam Finlayson has been involved in the hydrocephalus community for over 30 years, since her daughter Kate acquired the condition as a premature infant. During Kate's lifetime Pam became familiar with the wide-ranging challenges and struggles which face hydrocephalus patients and their families--from ever-changing medical, developmental, physical, and educational needs to the difficulty of finding appropriate information, treatment and support over the course of a patient's life. A former teacher, Pam enjoys volunteering her time as a mentor to high school students in underserved communities, working for the Red Cross, and teaching adaptive skiing to a diverse population of children and adults in New Hampshire. She could not be more excited to meet, learn with, and grow alongside the amazing children attending Kids Camp during our National Conference!

Tracy

Tracy Taback | Kids Camp Leader
Tracy got involved with HA after having an ETV in 2008. She was diagnosed with hydrocephalus at 23 in 2003. She led the Connecticut Community Network and offers peer support for other members of our community who are considering or have had ETVs. Tracy adores kids and in her role at the Connecticut Community Network, she ran a family fun day for kids with hydrocephalus and their siblings and families. Professionally, Tracy works in business development. She recently moved to Florida and is excited to create a fun experience for children attending Kids Camp!

Alex Trujillo | Kids Camp Leader
Alex has been a DJ for over 20 years. He was diagnosed with Obstructive Hydrocephalus due to an inoperable brain tumor at the age of 28.  After multiple brain surgeries and therapy he has now gone on to become a community network leader and peer support volunteer for HA, crediting them for his recovery.

By signing your child up for Kids Camp, it allows the parent or guardian to attend the conference sessions and socialize with other adults while their child is having a wonderful experience with people who may become lifelong friends.

Kids Camp includes snacks and the Welcome Reception on Thursday, lunch, and snacks on Friday and Saturday, and the Dinner Dance and Talent Show on Saturday evening.
